Dashboard in AltheaSuite
Dashboard in AltheaSuite
The Dashboard in AltheaSuite is the default startup screen which shows real-time business overview in 5 system default sections Orders, Sales, Collections, Purchases and Deliveries.
The Dashboard consists of details like charts (Area, Bar, Line, Single Figure) for all your sales, purchases and deliveries transactions. Each of these details are shown in their respective sections. With these you can instantly view the performance of the company.
Users can customize and create their own Dashboard view along with the system default views. This can be done from the Dashboard module.
The Dashboard module allows users to create customized Dashboard views to monitor business activities the way they prefer. It is designed to give users a clear visual overview at a single glance.
To create a custom Dashboard view, follow the below steps:
Step 1 : Create a New Dashboard
- Navigate to Business Intelligence section
- Click on Dashboards module
- Click on New toolbar button
- You will see New Dashboard screen will open up.
In the New Dashboard, enter the Title of the Dashboard. You can select User Roles if you are creating this personalized views for Admin, Finance, HR, Sales, etc. When you select user roles, the custom dashboard you create will be visible only for the selected user roles.
Selecting user roles is an optional field.
If you are creating this Dashboard for specific user logins then you can select logins. The selected logins will only have the access to this custom dashboard.
User logins is also an optional field. When you keep both user roles and user logins blank then these type of custom dashboard will be visible for all the users.
Click on Save to create a new Dashboard.
The saved dashboard will show up in the Dashboard manager.
Step 2 : Personalize the Dashboard
- Click on Manage All toolbar button.
- Manage Dashboard window will open, select the created dashboard on the left side.
- You will see the selected dashboard empty on the right side.
Click on the + button on the right side to add charts to your dashboard. The system allows you to add Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to your dashboard.
Step 3 : Adding Data and Graphs
- Once you click on the + button.
- Add Chart To Dashboard window will open.
- Select the KPI Graph from the dropdown. You will see system generated KPI graphs with system written in the brackets.
Once the KPI graph is selected and added, it will start showing up on your custom dashboard on the right side.
To add more KPI graphs, click on customize icon.
And again click on + button to add more KPI graphs.
Once you have added more KPI graphs, you can also rearrange them by click on the customize icon and then click on the four-way arrow icon of the KPI graph to move its position.
If you want to delete any KPI graphs from your dashboard, you can click on trash bin icon on the graph and you will see a confirmation message for the delete. This will only delete from your dashboard but it will remain in the system under KPI graphs manager.
Step 4 : Create Custom Graphs option
- Click again on the plus + button to add new KPI graphs.
- Add Chart Window will open.
- Click on the 3 dots option to create a new KPI graph.
- With this option you are creating a new KPI graph instead of using the system default ones.
- In the KPI Graphs Manager window, you will see all the KPI graphs in the system.
- Click on + New button to create a new KPI graph.
Step 5 : Custom Graph data – Type, Time, Goals etc
- In the New KPI Graph window, enter the title of the graph.
DATA TYPE
- Select the Data type using dropdown menu.
- The data type options is to specify what kind of data will be presented.
CHART TYPE
- Select Chart Type from the dropdown.
- You will see 4 options Area, Bar, Line and Single Figure.
TIME INTERVAL
This option lets to select the time range for the data to be displayed.
LAST
The last option lets you define how much data is displayed, such as showing the last 5 months when 5 is selected. Type the number in the section provided.
GOAL
Add a goal value to the graph to indicate whether the target amount has been achieved. The goal value will show up on the graph in red dotted lines.
- Click on save button to save the KPI graph.
- Once you have saved the KPI graph, you can select the graph and add it your custom dashboard.
- The custom KPI graph will show up on the dashboard manager.
Step 7 : Preview the Dashboard Screen
Once you go back to the startup screen of the Dashboard, you will see your custom dashboard will the KPI graphs that you added.
Setting up default Dashboard view
Once you have custom dashboards, you can also set the default dashboard view you want to see every time when the startup screen loads.
You can configure from the Settings manager, click on My Settings.
Under the General Settings for My Login, click on the dropdown Start Dashboard With, you will see all the dashboards that are visible to you.
Once you have selected the default view, the startup screen of the dashboard will always load the dashboard first that is set from your settings.
