How to Add an Additional Password

How to Add an Additional Password

Step 1: Log into your AltheaSuite account. Navigate to the Employees module and select User Roles. Find the user role we want to limit, then click on the context menu (the three dots) on the row of that role.

Click Modify. This will open the Modify User Role screen.

Step 2: From the Modify User Role screen, use the plus (+) button to expand the sections of the user role’s access. When expanded, the plus (+) becomes a minus (-).

Use the sections and find the specific operation we want to attach a password to. In this tutorial, we are adding a password to the Upload Order operation.

Step 3: Press the plus (+) button to the left of the operation we are editing.

A key will appear to the right of the operation. Click it to access the password screen.

Step 4: If you have passwords in your system already, you can click on the down arrow to select from existing passwords. If not, then click on the three dots to access the manager.

Click on New to add a new password.

Step 5: A New Password screen will appear. Type in the Name and Password you want to use.

Click Save to record the new name and password you entered.

Step 6: Click on the row of the password we created to select it, and then click OK.

This will return you back to the Set Additional Passwords screen. Click OK again.

Step 7: After adding the passwords, scroll down on the User Role screen. Click Update to save the password to the user role.

Step 8: When users of that user role attempt to access the operation, they will see a screen that requires the user to type in the additional password.

If the user knows the password, they will enter it into the Password field. Check the Show option to see what is being typed, or leave it unchecked to see asterisks (***). For security reasons, we suggest leaving it unchecked, though.
