How to Add New Item

Adding New Item In AltheaSuite

Step 1 : Login to your AltheaSuite account.

Step 2 : From the main menu option, go to Products > Items.

Step 3 : Click on + New button on the top-left to launch the New Item page.

Step 4 : Enter the product details 

    • SKU (stock keeping unit) – The code that identifies the product within your business. For effective tracking and sales reporting, each SKU needs to be unique. SKU is auto generated but if you want can change it. This is a mandatory field.
    • Item Name – Enter the name of your product. This is a mandatory field.
    • Description – Enter the description of your product. You can describe your product in detail. This is an optional field.
    • Category – Select the item category. This is a mandatory field. To create or edit item categories please see the article How to create/edit Item Category.

Step 5 : Enter the Item Pricing details

    • Sales Price : The price at which you will sell the item.
    • Purchase Price :  The price at which you purchase the item.

Step 6 : Click on Create to add your item.

Importing Item List

AltheaSuite allows you to quickly and easily import your items using Excel file rather than having to manually create all your items. To help you with the import process, AltheaSuite provides the Item Import tool.

The Item Import tool uses the data in an Excel file to create new items. Please see the article Importing Item List.

Item Fields

If your product has options, like color, brand or type, then you can add Custom Fields. Please see the article to learn How to create Custom Fields for Items
