How to create a batch item in AltheaSuite

AltheaSuite’s inventory module comes with batch management functionality. The batch management feature facilitates batch in purchase, sales, stock transfer, etc.

Every item can be assigned with batch number, so you’ll know exactly where individual batches of your products are and when they expire.

To create a batch item in AltheaSuite follow below steps

Step 1 : Login to your AltheaSuite account.

Step 2 : From the main menu option, go to Products > Items.

Step 3 : Click + New to add a new item.

Step 4 : Enter the item details like SKU, Item Name and Category. SKU will be system generated, if you want click on that field and change it. Add item image if required.

Step 5 : Mark the checkbox Has Manual Batch. Manual Batch will allow you to select the batch while creating invoice.

Step 6 : Instead of selecting batch manually while creating invoice, if you want to sell on a first-in-first-out (FIFO) basis mark the checkbox Has Auto Batch.

Step 7 : Enter pricing details like Purchase Price and Sales Price. Click on Create.
