How to create a credit sale

In order to create credit sale, you first need to set the default credit limit for your customers.

To set default credit limit to all customers, navigate to Settings –> General Settings –> Default Credit Limit for Customers.

To set credit limit to specific customers, follow the steps given the following tutorial.

Set Credit Limit to Customer

To create a credit sale in AltheaSuite, follow the steps given below;

Step 1: Login to your AltheaSuite account.

Step 2: From the main menu option, go to Sales –>Sales Invoices.

Step3:  Click on +Create Invoice to create new sales invoice.

Step 4: Select customer for whom you want to create credit invoice.

Step 5: Add item for which you want to create an Invoice. If you click on the item field, a drop-down list of your items will appear, Or you can type in item’s name. Choose a delivery type from – 1. Delivered, 2. DL – To be delivered and 3. PK – To be picked up

Step 6: After you select the items. Click on Pay Now to proceed to payment screen.

Step 7: From the Payment page, select the Balance tab, then enter the pending amount (credit amount) in Amount field. System will show you the available credit for this customer.

For example, If you selling goods worth of $ 500 to your customer and if your customer is paying $ 200 by cash and $ 300 as a credit, then enter $200 in cash tab and $ 300 in Balance tab.

Step 8: Click Save to complete the sale.
