How to Use the Bulk Updater in AltheaSuite

To use the bulk updater in AltheaSuite, follow the steps below:

Login to your AltheaSuite account.

Navigate to Products > Items, then click on Bulk Update to make updates to the items.

Option 1:

Select the option “Update items in a single category”, choose the desired category from the dropdown list, and a message will appear showing the number of items that will be updated.

Option 2:

Select “Update items matching filters”, then apply the required filters to narrow down your item selection. Once the filters are applied, a message will display the total number of items that will be updated.

In this example, we have chosen the category filter to narrow down the items.

Option 3:

Select “Update ALL items in the database”. This option will update every item available in the database, without applying any filters.

Option 4:

Select “Update items selected in item manager”. This option allows you to bulk update only the items selected in the item manager.

Go to Products > Items, select the category you want to update, apply the filters and click on Bulk Update.

In this example, we have selected a category and filtered by the preferred supplier.

After clicking Bulk update, on the next screen select the option “Update items selected in item manager”. A message will appear indicating that the update will apply to the items filtered in the item manager and will also display the total number of items to be updated.

After selecting the desired bulk update option, choose the specific information you want to update for the items. Once selected, click on Apply, and then click “Bulk Update” at the bottom to finalize the changes.

Here, we are increasing the sales price of the selected items.

As soon as you hit Bulk Update, a confirmation popup will appear to verify the changes. 

Once the the updates are applied, the message will display at the bottom of the screen saying “Bulk edits on items are applied successfully”.

Now, you can close the window and return to the item manager to verify the updated changes.
