Search Column in AltheaSuite

The enhanced Search Column feature gives users greater control over their searching experience.
It is used for single / multiple Column Search. The purpose of this is to allow users to select the column they want their search in.

You can now select multiple columns for search, allowing results to be drawn from several columns at once. Entered keywords will be checked across all selected columns, ensuring a broader and a more accurate match.
Althea suite now delivers a more reliable search match. Even if one column contains the match, the results will appear.
The system will remember your last selected filters based on the login of your account. This way AltheaSuite is allowing you to pick up from where you left, no hassle for applying the filters every time.

There is a new refreshed look for this feature, presented with a flag icon near your search box.
The new search feature is now available across all screens that support search.

1. Single Column Search:

Example 1: Searching items under the column “Category Name”

STEP 1:  Navigating to Item screen & locating Search Column

 

• Login to your AltheaSuite account – This will open the Dashboard.
• Click on the Products dropdown menu
• Under products, select Items
• The item screen will now appear
• The Search Column is located next to the main search bar
• Click on Search Column button to view all the available filters

STEP 2: Choosing the column of search- ex: “Category Name”

 

• Click on the Search Column button to open the dropdown menu

• The list of all available columns will show  

• Click on the Column name required (Category Name)

• Clicking the name/ pressing enter will enable the search

NOTE: If the Column names are not seen in the dropdown menu:

 

• Click on the lighting symbol near the search bar

 

• Advanced Search window will show other available Column options

 

• Select the desired Column Search option

• Click on “Ok” at the bottom

• The system will now apply the selection and only that column will be selected for search

• Repeat the process for changing the selection

       Or

 

• Enter the column name in the search bar located below the Column Search dropdown  

 

• After typing the Column name, click on “enter”. The system will automatically select that option and enable the column for search

NOTE: The selection will be seen with a blue bubble on top of Column Search button

STEP 3: Search the keyword for the column selected (Category Name)

 

• Type in the keyword in search bar located near Column Search
  
  
• AltheaSuite will now try to match the keyword with the selected columns and display the corresponding result –>

2. Multiple Column Search:

Example 2 – Using multiple selection option, to find items with specified Category name, Name & Available quantity.

STEP 1: Enabling multiple selections in Column Search button

 

• Click on the Column Search button
  
  
• Bottom right of the dropdown, would be a checkbox as “Select Multiple”

 

• Tick the checkbox, to enable multiple selections

• The selected columns will be displayed on the top section of the dropdown

• Type out the selection not available below on the search bar or go to advanced selection by clicking on the lighting symbol near the main search bar

• Click on apply / click on enter

NOTE: The “Select Multiple” option is a feature that allows you to check multiple columns for a refined search experience. This will also affect the performance and speed of AltheaSuite. For best results, single column search is recommended

STEP 2: Search for the Keyword in the Search bar – Column Search selection as,  

 

• Type the keyword in the search bar located near the Column Search button

• AltheaSuite will now try to match those keywords with the selected columns.

• The results will be displayed even if one of the columns have the keyword entered.

3. Adjusting search columns:

NOTE 1: How to clear / add column searches

 

• Click on Clear to unselect all the selected columns

Or

 

• Untick the checkboxes to remove specific selection

NOTE 2: AltheaSuite login will remember the last selected Column Search – It will display that every time you login with the same account. (for new search, click on clear)

NOTE 3: The performance of the search result will be faster when single column search is used compared to multiple column search

NOTE 4: To add new Column Search , Click on “clear” and select the desired Column selections
