Send Order Confirmation through SMS

The Order Creation SMS feature in AltheaSuite automatically sends an SMS notification to the customer when a new order is successfully created.

This provides customers with an instant order confirmation while reducing the need for manual communication from the sales team.

• A valid customer mobile number should be available in the customer details.
• The SMS is configured according to business locations
• The SMS is triggered only after the order is successfully created.
• The message content depends on the configured Order Created SMS template.
• Users should verify that the customer’s contact information is correct before saving the order.

Example SMS

Dear Customer, your order [Order Number] has been successfully created with [Company Name]. Thank you for your order.

Step 1 : Enable the Setting 

• Navigate to settings 
• Click on General Settings

• Enable the “Allow to send document link in SMS”

Step 2 : Configuration of the SMS 

• Navigate to business locations tab 
• Click on the business location you want to configure the SMS for 
• Click on the three dots
• Click on “SMS Formats”

Step 3 : Formatting the SMS 

• Click on “+New”
• Select Document Type as Order 
• Write the SMS format 
• Use the default brackets as mentioned : 

Hello [CustomerName], thank you for choosing [BusinessLocation]. Your Order #[DocumentNumber] of total $[GrandTotal]. Please find your order [PublicLink]

• The prompts in brackets have to be mentioned as it is. The message can be edited accordingly
  

• Checkboxes to click : Send SMS and Make Available for Public Link 

Note: If the check boxes are not enabled, the SMS will not reflect on customers inbox.

Step 4 : Verify the Customer Mobile Number

Ensure that a valid mobile number is available for the selected customer.

The SMS will be sent to the mobile number associated with the customer.

Step 5 : Save the Order

Review the order information and click Save to successfully create the order.

Step 6 : SMS Is Automatically Triggered

Once the order is successfully created, AltheaSuite automatically triggers the configured Order Confirmation SMS.

Step 7 : Customer Receives the Confirmation

The customer receives an SMS confirming that their order has been created successfully.

Note: The SMS content received by the customer will depend on the SMS template configured in AltheaSuite.
